The Great Canadian Cheese Festival is Coming to Peterborough 🧀
If you love cheese (and really, who doesn’t?), there’s a delicious event coming to the Kawarthas this summer. The The Great Canadian Cheese Festival will take place June 13 and 14, 2026 in Peterborough, bringing together some of the country’s best artisan cheesemakers and food producers for a two-day culinary celebration. Morrow Building will transform into a bustling marketplace filled with incredible flavors, local craftsmanship, and passionate food makers from across Canada.
A Celebration of Canadian Artisan Food
The festival is designed to highlight the artistry behind Canadian cheese and the talented producers who create it. Guests will have the chance to sample small-batch cheeses, explore artisan foods, and meet the makers behind some of the country’s most celebrated dairy products.
In addition to cheesemakers, visitors can expect a wide range of vendors including bakers, chocolatiers, breweries, cideries, wineries, and other specialty food producers. With around 100 exhibitors expected, the event promises a diverse marketplace of Canadian flavors.
Taste, Learn, and Explore
Admission to the festival includes access to all vendors and generous samples throughout the marketplace, making it easy to discover new favorites while browsing. Many producers will also be on hand to talk about their craft and share the stories behind their products.
For those looking to take their experience further, the festival will also offer tutored tasting sessions led by cheese experts and sommeliers.
